What is this all about?
We started a new tradition Homecoming 2007 with our tailgate. Each year we will find out which team(2 people) is the best team of the group . This team will have the bragging rights until next year and will have their picture and name on the tailgating Olympic plaque on the trailer side door. Started in 2010, the winners are able to take home the Olympic Trophy and the trophy will be returned at the beginning of the next football season.
We will compete in a series of races/challenges and the top 4 teams will enter the Final 4. To qualify for the Final 4 your team must be one of the 4 lowest team scores at the end of the challenges. The quarter final game will be corn hole. The winners of each game of corn hole will go head to head in the final. The final game will be Beer Pong.
What are the races/challenges?
Can be any of the following:
- The egg/spoon relay race
- Water balloon toss
- Sack Race
- 3 legged race
- dizzy bat race
- cracker eating contest
What is this scoring about?
Very easy, your score is determined in which place you finish for each of the races/challenge. If your team comes in 2nd place in the sack race, you will receive 2 points, if you come in 7th place for the 3 legged race, you will receive 7 points. At the end of the races we really tally the score, just like golf. The 4 lowest scores will compete in the Final 4.
What are the rules?
- These games are open to everyone, so please be respectful of each other.
- If you make it to the Finals and you don't drink alcohol you may designate a drinker or substitute if needed.
- This is all about having fun, no cheating!
